City of Coquitlam Public Hearing - Revised Zoning Bylaw For Burke Mountain

For Immediate Release - February 26, 2007

The City of Coquitlam has set the Public Hearing date for feedback on the proposed changes to the Zoning Bylaw that affects Burke Mountain. It is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2007 at 7:30pm in Council Chambers at Coquitlam City Hall.

These new bylaws are based on the existing zones for the Northeast, but accomplish the following:

• More consistent with other zones throughout Coquitlam
• Simpler to apply
• Allow for more variety in the house designs
• Allow for front garages where appropriate
