Upper Hyde Creek Construction Update

For Immediate Release - October 11, 2006

We are continuing our preliminary construction work in the Upper Hyde Creek with the actual land clearing now completed for parcels D1, D5, D8, D10 and D11. Preliminary sediment control measures are in place on these parcels and more advanced mearsures will be in place in short order.

In parcels D8 and D10 we have begun stripping in roads for servicing works and the Harper Fill Site is operational receiving material from these two parcels.

We have been working on two compensation projects - a channel relocation on our D8 property and a channel creation on our property in Lower Hyde Creek under the Hydro corridor from David to the future Mason Avenue. The project on D8 is now 95% completed and the project in Lower Hyde is 75% completed. These are both scheduled to be operational by the end of October.
